Lion, Tiger And Bear Raised Together After Rescue From Drug Dealer

Baloo the bear, Leo the lion, and Shere Khan the tiger were found locked in a basement undernourished and abused. The trio was originally owned by a drug dealer who didn’t properly care for them, leading to neglect and poor health. In 2001, Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary, a nonprofit that cares for animals in need, came to the rescue, and took them to Locust Grove, Georgia, where they were treated for injuries. They could have been separated but since at the moment of the rescue they were already friends, the sanctuary decided to keep them together. The abuse they suffered together as babies has bonded them into a loving brotherhood that does not recognize species.

StarCityGames.com has me drawing a lot of things I’m not used to… which is definitely not a bad thing! Ice is especially tricky — they took forever because I hate colorpicking off of photos. The eyedropper tool makes things so easy, but then I wouldn’t learn as much.

The ice studies were pretty much as they appeared in the original photograph, and the other studies were more of a Find The Easiest Way To Render This Out Without Killing Myself.

Jon Stewart’s Priceless Response To Fox News On Ferguson

Jon Stewart is back from vacation, and he’s not wasting any time going after one of his favorite targets: Fox News.

Watch his the full brilliant 10  minute monologue on racism and Ferguson  here.

Jon Stewart is great anyway, but part of what makes him great is knowing when to get serious.

Porcelain pieces that are infested with hand-painted ants by artistLa Philie

on Etsy

German artist Evelyn Bracklow of La Philie decided to combine the elegance of vintage porcelain with the grossness of a horde of ants in a series she calls Chitins Gloss. Various dining pieces such as plates, tea cups, and jugs are all crawling with ants, as if your kitchen is having some sort of ant-infestation.
